After high school I was the first in my family to attend college. I graduated from San Jose State with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Won a contest with Conde Nast Publishing, Mademoiselle Magazine, and spent a month working in Manhattan including touring with the magazine, illustrating a Chanel bottle, and doing a photo shoot in Ireland.
Living a 20 year old girl's fantasy. I did free lance design and illustration for five years. Married in 1975 and spent my thirties starting my family.
Became a single parent in the late 90's. Started working as an Art Teacher's Assistant for Charles Armstrong School.
After six years at the school I left and got more involved with my family's real estate ventures.
In my retirement I have enjoyed my four grandchildren and traveling with my family and friends. I have been lucky to travel to many parts of the world. Especially loved exploring my ethnic homeland of Latvia. It has been a good life.
