I remember the President’s physical fitness test. Did we have to do that every year? We did timed sit-ups, pull ups (never could do those), the standing broad jump, a fifty yard dash and a longer run/walk. Did anyone in our class ever get designated as physically fit? :-)

Mark Petty lived on Edgewood very near where I lived. I remember you. I also applaud your thoughts about us all sharing our memories of the years in Palo Alto. We were so lucky and fortunate to live there.
As for memories and recollections - I think most of us Green Gables kids walked and/or biked to school each day and many of us were able to go home for lunch if we had a mom that didn’t work or lived close enough. More to come. But first, come on people, share your memories. It’s meaningful.

The many classes = art, science, English & friends. I remember Billy Bunton, Keith Clark, Mrs. Brandt, Mrs. Haskins, Mr.Norton, Mr. Hepworth, Ms. Gabbert/Mrs.Schmerl. Trying to get to class in the crowded hallways. Many more fine educators making the school day interesting.
High school was one of my best/worst times because …it’s high school. BUT generally a very fine time in my life with fond memories.
Thank you to the committee putting together reunions and the people who organized this website.
